Clue one of Indigo Way is complete.  Clue two in progress here.

I finished up clue two yesterday...just in time for clue three tomorrow.

Kathleen Tracey Winter Mystery clue one.

And clue two!
Kim Diehl Double-Dipped Mystery Stitchalong clues one, two and three are done.

A Quilting Life BOM--last block is done.  I picked out the sashing and border fabric too.
I need to make two more stars for tiny cornerstones.  They are in progress.

A Whole Lot of News! from The Modern Diary

For some reason I do not think this Kathleen Tracy sampler ever made it to the blog after I quilted it with a baptist fan and bound it.  Love how it turned out.
Managed to do the next block in A Quilting life's BOM before the move.

Made some of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks before and some after the move in orange.

We bid on SIX houses before finally getting our forever home!  After we closed we spent a few weeks making treks over and putting things away and each weekend we painted.  The library/office room is ...

Some Sad News and some Good News from The Modern Diary

My Uncle Dan passed away this past month.  He flew to Arizona for a Spring Break trip and collapsed in the airport.  It took a bit for his body to come back to Wisconsin, so last week we had the funeral.  Combine that with my Mom's health declining (she went in for chemo and changed her mind since the prep caused another heart attack) I decided to go be with the family for the week.  I tried hard to pace myself so I would not get worse again this summer as I did last summer.  Here is my uncle ...

Schoolgirl Sampler Minis and More! from The Modern Diary

I gave this fun table runner to my goddaughter Kelsey for her birthday.  She said she had just the table to put it on.
Barb and I worked on our Kathleen Tracy Mini Schoolgirl Sampler.  We picked out nine blocks each and I think only one was the same.
The above is mine.  Below is Barb's.  Love how they both turned out.

Hazel turned two and she had a party in Wisconsin Dells with her Dad's half the family (they live far away) and last weekend at home with her Mom's side.  She loved her gifts and ...

Lots of Progress! from The Modern Diary

Hazel is really into her baby doll these days.  She puts her down to nap and covers her up and feeds her her bottle and even sings rock a bye Hazel (instead of baby, lol) to her.  Does not get any cuter!
Here is my Ruby Jubilee for the next Quiltmaker clue and in purple is Becky's.

Barb has not started hers in green yet.

Barb and I really enjoyed working on the Scavenger Hunt Kim Diehl Mystery Sewalong.  Here is is coming along.

Here is Barb's in lighter fabrics.
And the last clue came out today so ...

Simple Whatnots are not so Simple for Me! from The Modern Diary

I used the Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day ruler to make my flying geese (in the wrong size but we won't talk about that) and in looking over the directions I saw that I am supposed to be cutting a notch out (as above in the picture) to help them lay better.  All this time I have used this ruler and I do not remember ever doing this (though I might have then just randomly forgot and stopped doing it!).

I also managed to make the pinwheels in the wrong size.  This sewalong (Simple Whatnots III) has a ...

Valentine's Mini Mystery and Ruby Jubilee in Other Colors! from The Modern Diary

I finished up the flimsy for Kathleen Tracy's Mini Valentine Mystery today.  Nice and simple.  Barb's is below though she added a roses border on hers and it is cute!

I sewed with Becky a few days ago and convinced her to start Ruby Jubilee! She wasted no time in picking out fabrics and whipping these up.  She was my blogging friend before I moved to Arizona and we lived close enough together out there to be in the same guild!  You may remember we did the Quiltville cruise together and lots of hiking too.  Now we sew ...

Making Progress! from The Modern Diary

I  got my Ruby Jubilee all cut and sewn (two blocks not pictured, but they are all done).  Loving all the reds!
Barb got her first two blocks done too!  She is doing green.
Finished this book today.  It was alright.  Sending it on to my mom.
Still reading this one with my book club.  Much better than "The Iliad" in my opionion!
I did the simple little clue for Kathleen Tracy's Valentine mystery today.

I finally started assembling R Trail tonight.  I cannot tell you how tricky this one is for me.  I started out doing both ends ...

Progress...Slow and Steady! from The Modern Diary

I really have not sewn much the past two weeks.  Before that I got all the blocks and half blocks ready for Winter Blues in Green.  I then realized I had a TON of sashing to cut and cornerstones.  Wind out of sails  I just did not feel like cutting all that!  There is so much cutting and subcutting in this one!  I am loving my new ruler for doing it but still.  I also am pretty sure that I want to do a yellow version of this and then combine the two colors for TWO Packer quilts instead of ...

A Patriotic Mini! from The Modern Diary

I joined Kathleen Tracy's Schoolgirl Sampler FB group and she picked this sweet top for our June sew.  It was fun to put together though I looked at it and made four of each block instead of three!  I figured out I was doing that after the first one, but figured I may as well do it for all of them and put those together too.
My roses made it through winter and are looking so good!  I went out and did some weeding a few weeks ago (not that you would know now) and so happy with these ...

Humble Quilts Mini Swap from The Modern Diary

I participated in the Humble Quilts Mini Quilt Swap this month.  This is the beauty I got from my swap partner Betsy.  She sent it all the way from Florida.  Since I am not much of an appliquer I am tickled.  It is always nice to get a quilt I would not be likely to make!  The backing has sewing scissors too.

I had decided I would make my own partner (different person) a Kathleen Tracy mini.  It is in "Small and Scrappy" and is called Treasure Boxes.  I enthusiastically got started before I knew I was in the swap ...

Farm Girl Vintage Start from The Modern Diary

Hazel is starting to cruise!  She was chasing the ball in this picture.  Just a bit over six months old and such a happy girl!  She loves to be read to and her favorite book at my house is "That's Not My Puppy!" which we read at least once each day.

Just finished my latest book box.  The story was good though lots of "convenient" things happening to interrupt things all the time.  It got on my nerves a bit.
Finished the Kathleen Tracy Mini Mystery.  She decided to surprise us with the last clue (borders) a few days ...

Easter Egg Art and a Little Mystery from The Modern Diary

Hazel made some fun Easter Egg art this week.  She loved shaking the bag with the paint and dice (where are my marbles) in it!
I finished putting the clue for Kathleen Tracy's little mystery today.  Barb also finished hers below.

I got all cut for not one but two of the sweet quilt in the book.  I am hoping I was accepted to join a mini quilt swap..I have not heard back yet.  This has LOTS of pieces and took a bit of cutting!  Should be fun though.  I always like to two make two when I ...

March Progress from The Modern Diary

March is finally here!  I hope that means that the melting snow will lead to green spring, and not more snow.  We finally bought a snow blower and have not used it yet, so guessing there will be no more snow!  Fine with us.
Here is the third clue for the Kathleen Tracy Small Quilts Mystery.  We made four patches (last two columns) with lights and darks that contrasted with our other clues.  Really love small quilts!
I decided to buy a bunch of fabric from facebook marketplace at a deep discount.  It was about 100 bucks for all of ...

Minis in Progress! from The Modern Diary

Hazel came for the day Wednesday.  Wore me out,  but we had fun!  Her first full day away from Mom and Dad!
She did let me sew up clue one of the Kathleen Tracy mystery(from a facebook quilting group).  Later on I did clue two.  Nice easy clues for a mini quilt.

Yesterday I was able to sew most of the day and so made this little Red Button Quilt.  I just found the facebook group (I used to be on the yahoo group a decade ago!) and they offer a freebie each month and this one (Follow Your ...
